Engaged citizens spoke. Carrie Ziegler is in the runoff for East Point City Council for Ward B.
Carrie is a capable, hard-working individual who isn't afraid to dig into the details of complex issues the City of East Point is facing. Carrie understands East Point’s challenges and has always been willing to engage with residents and elected officials to explore and propose solutions that will lead to a better quality of life for all residents.
Carrie is one of the most informed and engaged citizens in East Point.
She has spent years serving in various capacities to improve East Point, including:
serving on the city's comprehensive plan steering committee
volunteering in a leadership capacity for her neighborhood association
co-founding a community-led environmental organization in East Point
and participating in the Adopt-a-Stream program to monitor the health of neighborhood streams.
Importantly, Carrie Ziegler regularly attends city council meetings and speaks up during the public comment period on issues of importance.
She has held multiple online sessions to educate citizens on how to participate in various planning and zoning commission meetings, city council meetings, and other municipal forums where citizens can engage directly with the city.
